In partnership with Natural Resources Canada, NB Power offers Web Services to enable building managers in New Brunswick to transfer electricity consumption data to Portfolio Manager. This will provide energy and greenhouse gas emissions performance metrics plus valuable trend data.
The ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® lets your business:
✓ Measure how much energy each building uses
✓ Benchmark a building’s performance to similar buildings
✓ Track changes in energy use over time
✓ Understand energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions
It is used by building owners, property managers, municipalities, and large organizations to support energy management and planning.
Benchmarking against similar businesses in Canada helps to:
✓ Find opportunities to reduce energy costs
✓ Prioritize upgrades with the biggest impact
✓ Track the results of energy‑efficient improvements
✓ Support reporting to stakeholders or tenants
✓ Make informed decisions about building performance
For many businesses, benchmarking is the first step toward long‑term energy savings.
