Canadian Tire is a Canadian institution, and the one in Atholville is no exception. It was built in 1985 and acquired by Pierre Girard thirty years later. It’s a popular retail destination in the region. In 2019, Pierre embarked on a store expansion, and used the opportunity to invest in upgrading the building’s lighting.
With the help of an electrician’s team, they upgraded the lighting in less than four nights without ever disrupting the business or impacting customers.
Now, after the upgrade, the LED lighting better showcases the store’s products, offering consistent and bright lighting as compared to the previous yellow-hued light tone. Pierre says clients immediately noticed the improvements.
“People couldn’t get over it,” says Pierre. His customers exclaimed “Wow! This is so much more beautiful! So much brighter!”
In addition to the energy and money saved, Pierre says his team doesn’t need to worry about lighting maintenance anymore, as the LEDs have a lifespan of eight to ten years. In turn, the business is also saving on maintenance costs.
